Covid 19 Information
The Meridian Team has been gathering information daily in order to best inform our residents of how to manage this global health crisis. The past few weeks have, undoubtedly, been some of the most life-changing weeks we’ve seen in modern times. We are hoping and praying that the extreme social distancing will prove effective to slow the spread of this illness and that we’ll all soon be back to normal.
As your property manager, we wanted to reach out and address a few important issues regarding the pandemic as well as your tenancy…
“STAY HOME MISSOURI” ORDINANCE:
For more information about the recent Stay Home Ordinance please visit the following website:

SOCIAL DISTANCING’S PURPOSE:
The purpose of this world-wide action is not simply to stop you from getting sick, the larger purpose is to slow down the progression of the virus so hospitals will not be overwhelmed with those who are most likely to be affected. We encourage you to stay home and follow the guidelines set forth by the government and the CDC. For daily updates visit the following websites:

MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS:
Due to restrictions on work and the need to keep government mandated social distancing, we may be slower to respond to non-emergency maintenance requests. Please be patient as we work on what we can, when we can. In the event maintenance workers are sent to your home please be sure to keep at least 6 feet away from them. It is important that your home is very clean and sanitized to keep yourself and our vendors protected while providing maintenance. IF YOU, OR ANY MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY are experiencing symptoms or have been sick, PLEASE NOTIFY OUR OFFICE AND/OR THE VENDOR IMMEDIATELY. Please note that vendors have a right to refuse service if homes are not being properly cleaned and maintained. We highly recommend only emergency calls (plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC) be addressed at this time.
RENT PAYMENTS:
We are all impacted by this challenge and we MUST work together in order to get through this crisis. As of now, the owners of rental properties in the US are still responsible for making their mortgage payments to their banks as well as paying for taxes, insurance, rental registration fees and most importantly, maintenance expenses. Rent payments assist in covering the cost of providing you with a safe, well-maintained home. We ask that if you are experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19 that will impact your ability to meet your rent payment obligations, please contact our office so we can discuss your specific situation.
There are numerous resources in addition to the stimulus package and the increased unemployment benefits that the government will be providing to residents. The Meridian Team has also built relationships with other assistance programs which may be able to assist you with rent and other expenses/services as well. It is IMPERATIVE that you communicate with our team so we can do our best to provide the most efficient assistance specific to your situation. Please note, we may need additional information such as written documentation from your employer stating your reduction of hours, lay-off or other income reduction situations caused by COVID-19. When applying for unemployment please keep all documentation related to confirmation of your filing. This will help allow us to determine the best game plan for your future rent payments.
